The purpose of DidThey is to focus on your pet. But, we know that pets are part of a family and that many people are involved in caring for a pet. So, we've made it easy to add people to your pet's team. And, we've made it easy to manage the people on your pet's team.
In the world of pet care, especially when using DidThey, there are two main kinds of people involved with a pet: pet owners and caretakers.
Pet Owner: Even though the word 'owner' might not fully show how close we feel to our pets (they're like family, right?), it's the term used in more official stuff like vet visits and pet insurance. As a pet owner on DidThey, you get to do stuff like change your pet's details, invite friends or family to help out with your pet, and even make someone else an owner if you want. You're also in charge of keeping tabs on important dates and your pet's overall situation, with the system sending you extra alerts to keep you in the loop.
Caretaker: These are the awesome people who help look after your pet. They can log what the pet's been up to, post cute photos, and chat about pet care stuff. Caretakers could be anyone from people in your house to buddies or even the dog walker. And remember, if you're an owner, you're also a caretaker by default.
If you're looking to bring more people on board to help with your pet, just head over to the People page on DidThey. Here, you can send out invites and see everyone who's connected to your pet. If you're an owner, you'll find options to bump caretakers up to owner status (that's what the "Edit Role" button is for) or remove someone from your pet's team. This setup makes sure you can easily manage who's helping out with your pet while keeping things super flexible.
